Zurich Parental Skills Workshop @ La Escuelita
Sep 14 @ 9:30 am – 12:00 pm

Presented by mgr Psych. Katarzyna Wach

How to deal with tantrums, defiance, aggression, fears, attention deficit, on-line gaming

and media consumption in general, your child relationships with peers…

How to connect with your child and why is connection so important?

The workshop welcomes around 10-12 parents of children of all ages. Couples are encouraged

to come together. In a safe and non-judgmental environment where everybody feels

comfortable to share and expose themselves in front of the group, we will explore together how to serve our kids best by meeting the demands of the outside world and at the same time to take care

of ourselves. We will all learn from each other using different examples yet each of us as a

parent will be able to relate to some well-known aspects of different situations.

Workshop Objectives

  • To address parents´ questions and problems and discuss them together
  • To focus on how parents can regulate their emotions in the challenging moments
  •  To focus on how to coach, not to control our children
  • To introduce a variety of exercises and resources for parents to empower them in dealing

with everyday challenges and with the kids

Katarzyna Wach is a social psychologist, Jungian analyst and a Swiss

licensed psychotherapist and a mother. She grew up in Poland and lives in Zurich where she maintains her private practice. Katarzyna works with many expats who

are also parents and struggle both with adjusting to the demands of  Swiss culture, rules and

education system for their children and every day challenges of meeting their children`s needs

without neglecting their own needs as people, parents and spouses.
