Nutrition and health eating form an important part of daily life. This module aims to develop the foundational skills necessary for young adults to develop their understanding and appreciation of food, as well as to prepare food for themselves and others. With our professional chef, the module will address the following skills.

  • Kitchen safety
  • Kitchen hygiene
  • Nutritional Science as applied to meal planning
  • Communication in the kitchen
  • Preparing Recipes
  • Meal planning, budgeting and sourcing ingredients
  • Organization in the kitchen
  • Preparing food for others

Enrolment:

Sessions are delivered twice per week- once at ACCESS office and then at the kitchen
