Making friends is a major challenge for our special-needs children. Due to their lack of appropriate social skills, the above quote is the kind of experience most of them face on a daily basis. ASK Kid’s and Teen’s social was developed to offer age-appropriate social opportunities to special-needs children between the ages of 6 and 16. We propose a series of stress-free, fun and laid back activities during which participants can meet other children in a friendly, supervised environment while improving their social skills.
The group meets during the school year (October to June) to go on organized outings and do different fun activities. From ice-skating to bowling, pizza making to Pony riding, the children and young adults can develop a number of different skills and get to know each other whilst having fun in different environments. With a ratio of 1 helper to every 3 or 4 children, your children will be able to receive the attention, help, and guidance that he or she may seek.
Peer Mentoring
Peer mentoring with ASK allows teens and young adults (15 to 19), who want to make a difference through volunteerism, to support and act as mentors to the teens and young adults who have learning differences and special education needs.
Proposed Social Outings, 2020-2021 school year
We need to know who is coming, so registration is a must, even for free outings. No drop-offs without prior registration.

All photos, images, videos, audio recordings or interviews taken at or in connection with ASK events, seminars, camps or any other ASK children’s programs may be used as publicity on our website, brochures, newsletters, video commercials or any other recordings and written materials, provided that such use is specifically approved by his/her legal representative. In the event such use should be withdrawn after having been initially given, ASK reserves its right to seek indemnification for any damage thus incurred.
